The telecommunications department within SSL is primarily responsible for supporting the re-signalling projects.

The team is capable of designing, installing and testing & commissioning of complex projects involving aspects of control and system technologies.

Using our extensive knowledge of railway telecommunications, we are able to offer technical support for telecommunication projects using this experience to deliver projects that include some of the following types of work:

Transmission networks (SDH & PDH), Operational telephone concentrators, Public emergency telephone systems, Voice Recorders, Radio systems, SCADA and Station Management Systems (CCTV, PA, Information Displays)

Lineside operational cabling comprising copper, fibre, screening including installation, jointing, terminating, testing and commissioning is also a key skill area of the group.
